‘ICT City’ app launched for offering public facilities at doorstep

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched another Government app for public welfare called the ICT City app for citizens to avail public facilities at their doorsteps as a measure against COVID-19.

The app is titled ‘City Islamabad’ and you can get it from the Playstore.

Regarding the app, the Prime Minister said that the utilities would range to 43 public services online. He further stated that while the application will be useful under normal conditions, it would be especially useful during the pandemic.

He stated that the app would allow people to avoid long queues in government offices and get their service from home. He added that after a trial period in Islamabad, other cities would also receive respective versions of the app.

The PM said that the app will also administrative bodies to respond quickly for critical situations such as providing medical supplies.

According to details, the application includes 43 public services. These include emergency services, e-policing, passports, NIC, domiciles, vehicle registration, arms licenses, token tax payments, birth and death certificates, and more. Some of the other features are as follows.
